How strong is ryzen 5 1600 and gtx 1080 for 1080p 144hz gaming ...!!

Solution

Don't count on getting to 4ghz, from what I have seen "only" 35-40% of Ryzen chips can hit 4Ghz, most stay around the 3.9ghz range. But still 3.9ghz is a very good boost vs the base clock of the 1600.

As long as you don't go to say 1.4v yeah the stock cooler on the 1600 will be good enough, I suggest sticking around the 1.3v area which should net you a 3.8ghz overclock until you can get something better.

It's a great combo, no issues really. 1080 won't be bottlenecked however you still won't get full usage simply because it's too powerful for 1080p only. It's more of a 2k 144hz/4k 60hz card. Either way you won't find any performance issues.

If you don't have a budget that you're particularly worried about, I would take the step to ultrawide 1440p monitors at either 60hz or 144hz. 1080 is a very powerful card so you won't really see full utilization. At high resolutions the CPU matters less, and a majority of the stress is placed on the GPU, so it's good that you have a powerful GPU. It's just overkill for 1080p.

If you're on a budget for monitors then 1080p is always a fine choice, and I have no reason for why you shouldn't buy the LG monitor.
