Monitors and external devices wont work. Pc turns on but no connection otherwise

So i was playing a game called Path of Exile the other day which is pretty hardcore for my computer. Suddenly my monitors just showed some stripes and my headset mouse and keyboard didnt work any longer, couldnt hear any sound from teamspeak nor the game. So i attempted this a few times more but it just happened again and again. Last time it didnt work any longer no matter how many times i turned it off and on. So i went and got a new GPU which im sure many of you will think was a mistake. As you can guess, that wasnt the problem. I tried swapping around my RAM, plugging my power cable in another output, switching monitors, and running without GPU (which works fine). Only thing that i could think of is that my PSU is`nt able to power up all the components of my computer but my electrician uncle was convinced that that was`nt the problem. None of my friends wants to lend me their PSU since i pretty much learned what all of these things even do the last 2 days so i cant really blame them. Please help! :))

If a new video card did not fix things, it's probably a bad power supply or possibly motherboard issue. What is the power supply brand and model? Try checking for a newer BIOS for the motherboard and reset the BIOS to defaults.

The power supply says TX 750, its 5 years old so i guess it could be any of those. Do you have any tips as of what kind of PSU i should get if im gonna get a new one?
  3. TX sounds like a Corsair model, it may be that, but may not be. Did you try a clean Windows setup?

For a new PSU to try, these are good and on sale after rebate https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817151136
If you want something cheaper this model is good, a level bellow the Seasonic but still good enough for a gaming system. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817139147
  4. Haha, so i found out that it was just my bios that havent been updated, it fixed everything and my computer works as usual now ;) thanks for the help!
