Hello

My PC recently started to crash out of a sudden, mostly when playing videogames. I had it do the same when browsing the internet once, but it mostly happened when I tried to play Naruto Storm 2(didn't get the chance to test if it crashes on other games as well).
It didn't do this before, I played many hours through the game and now I am at the final chapter and even got it to crash as soon as I started the game and pressed start. First I thought my pc might be overheating but it doesn't seem to be the case. After the first system crash I updated my drivers to the latest amd videocard ones but it still happens.

Also after the crash I can't boot up my pc, nothing appears on my screen only after multiple tries of starting the machine (power on-power off). This is the screen that I get when it crashes, it is a grey screen, I can still hear the game for 2 seconds then it stops. Never had this problem before, I don't know what could be causing it.

Hey kirro,

so what i would think right away is that your PC is running some kind of overclock or other BIOS setting. Your system does not seem stable, the multiple restarts required is probably so called Boot Failure Guard. What i would suggest is you go into your BIOS settings and reset them to standard or right away clear your CMOS (if you don't know how to do that, enter "clear CMOS" in google.) Afterwards run a System stability test on your PC (for example Prime95) for at least 30 minutes.

Let me know if it helped

Thanks for the help, I cleared the CMOS and run some stress tests. Every test was mostly successful (CPU got a little hot but nothing to be worried about) but the GPU stress test after 1 minute it crashed the system. The problem seems to be narrowed down to the GPU or the drivers. Any suggestions what can I try addition to the driver clean install?

Much appreciated the help so far!

Check whether your GPU is running to hot. Is it overclocked? If yes remove the overclock. I'm not an AMD expert, but if there is some kind of tool for it try applying a bit more Voltage to the CPU cores. (MSi Afterburner might work for that)
Also, do you have any additional Hardware in your PCIe slots? (M.2 Storage counts as well!) If yes remove all expansion cards in your PCIe slots or try using another PCIe slot for your graphicscard.

Let me know

After replacing the GPU with my old GTX 550 Ti the problem stopped occurring. Will see if I can get anything fixed later with my other card. Temperature seemed to be ok, not reaching anything that should cause a problem, but still it is acting like it is overheating (had a card that's fan stopped spinning and it basically had the same symptoms as this case). Can't understand what could have happened for this to occur, I had no recent updates to my drivers, so I am sadly coming to the conclusion that the card might be the problem :( Will update on the situation if anything changes. Thanks for the help!
