Today I tried to run my brand new PC with an GTX 1070. I tried all PCE-I slots but the GPU simply doesn't run. The power light is on, I checked the cables but it doesn't run. For instance, I have an old GPU I kept - an R7 270x which runs perfectly fine.
A friend of mine, who works in the field told me it could be dead, but could it really be dead that fast?
My mobo is ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero, if somehow helps.
