Feedback on this motion graphics workstation build?

I'm looking to upgrade to a new workstation before the end of the year.

I work almost exclusively (and almost daily) in After Effects and Premiere Pro, neither of which capitalize on multiple cores (thus my choice not to go with Ryzen 7). AE, however, does use GPU acceleration (thus the 1080 ti). My hope is to work at a 4K minimum with the potential to create 6 or even 8K motion graphics in AE in the future (I do very little work with live footage).

Anyway, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this build....anything look strange to you? Am I making any glaring mistakes (this is my first system build ever so its taking me a while to figure out)? EDIT: I have a Corsair H100i to use for cooling.

One thing I will note is that I have opted not to go with an SSD for budget reasons (I'd hoped to keep this whole thing under 2K). But, if you can convince me that it is necessary (as opposed to just, nice to have) I'll add it in.

I'm very willing to edit this list based on your expertise so, feel free to share your insights.

Thanks!

Using a SSD for a scratch drive is the only way to go. You don't have to have a big one for your OS and programs but it is a very nice have but using one for a scratch drive will decrease the end product time a lot no waiting on the information from the HDD.
500GB SSD for the OS and programs, 250GB for the scratch drive and no slow 5400 RPM drive. Your still going to need external back up for your work also.

Ah, right, I will make that edit. I have a Corsair H100i cooler on my current PC. I'd hoped to OC the CPU to at least 4.5....would that cooling be sufficient?

I would even consider using this cooler (same one I use)

I had a water cooler on mine and took it off if the pump fails your PC is 100% down and no chance of a air cooler leaking.
