I have a few WD HDD in the mybook-type cases.

I have now destroyed two of them by simply knocking them over from their upright position.
I am looking for a physical box/container to keep them in. A NAS or other similar container is of no use to me. I simply want a safer way of storage. Access, without having to remove them to manually use them would be a bonus.
To further clarify what I want, a simple DIY chap could knock up a wooden one. I can't do that as I am physically handicapped
Any ideas?

The drives will run just fine on their sides, you don't need to keep them upright. You can also simply place them where you can't hit them, say behind the monitor or somewhere. Or put them in a cardboard box with a bit of foam to keep them solidly in there. A dozen different ways to do this.
