Asus ROG STRIX 1070 and Mini-ITX; Will It Fit?

So I've been taking a look into building an ITX system, with a dominantly-black color scheme. I haven't found many 1070 GPUs for a decent price that match it. I'm kind of settled on the STRIX 1070, but will an ITX case be able to support it, with it's slightly-overkill triple-fan cooling system?

The case in particular is either the NZXT Manta or the Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV ITX TG.

The GPU Length on the spec sheets for both these cases say it will fit, but what Im worried about is the height, mostly. How will airflow be with a reasonably thick GPU right up next to the PSU Shroud? Or will the GPU even fit once GPU thickness is taken into equation?

Another thing Im worried about is the fan configuration for both of these cases. Will the GPU still fit if I have a bottom intake fan mounted on the front, or will I have to take the bottom front intake fan off to accommodate the GPU?

For mini-ITX form factors I almost always recommend blower style cards, like the Founder's Edition 1070. In smaller cases airflow is extremely restricted, and the only requirement to having an open-air cooler is to have good case airflow. I'm pretty sure the GPU will fit no matter what your fan configuration is, although I highly suggest you look at reviews using similar builds.

The only thing you have to make sure of is that you have REALLY solid case airflow. 1070 gets hot and open-air coolers release all that air into the case, and that can make or break a mini-ITX build. Read some professional build reviews on the cases and make sure you know what you're getting into.

I feel dumb. It pry would have been a good idea to attach my part list in the Original post. Oh well, better late than never.

I feel like airflow will be pretty good. I see what you mean about Blower cards, since the airflow is collected towards the front of the case. If I went the blower route, I'd pry get the ASUS TURBO, since it matches my color scheme a lot better. Heck, if I threw about another $80 bucks onto a TURBO 1070, I could even get a TURBO 1080. But I've heard great things about STRIX, and I feel like airflow shouldn't be a huge issue given it's triple-fan cooler. But there is my part list, I would like to hear your feedback.

The issue isn't the fact that it's a triple fan, it's that the amount of heat dissipated into your case is going to be massive, no amount of fans changes that. It just aids in getting the air out faster while remaining quieter.

That being said, with 4 case fans, you should be fine. 4 140mm fans will move quite a bit of air.

Oh, so I can go with the STRIX card and be fine?

Yeah, probably. I suggest you watch this video though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoWrkvK05tE

It might give you some insight onto the build and gives you reference for placement of your components, and he does a little explaining as well.

I did a build in a fractal design define nano s and with a full sized ATX power supply my windforce 1070 was less than a centimeter from the top of my psu. Compared to the old setup with an SFX psu, my temps increased by 10C even with the fan set at a deafening 100%.

From what I can see of completed builds in the evolv itx case, there's still a bit of clearance between the power supply and video card and the psu shroud has ventilation so an open air cooler for the gpu is OK if your psu is intaking from the bottom. I would say ideally you want to use a liquid cooled video card in a high power ITX build since a blower style card will be loud, and a high wattage SFX power supply that could give you more clearance, would also increase noise.
