Extremely hot CPU (8700k)

As the title mentions my 8700k is running extremely hot with everything on stock settings.
I'm using an arctic freezer i32 as CPU cooler it cooled my 6500 idling just over 30 degrees. The mobo im using is: MSI z370 m5.
Already reapplied the thermal paste etc but no luck either, I dont know what to do.

Than either something is wrong with your cooler or the sensor is bad. I'm leaning towards the cooler not being able to dissipate the heat. After all your old i5 was 65watt chip. The 8700K is a 95watt and even higher when overclocked. Get a better cooler or turn the fan to max.
