Hello guys,
Recently I have sent my Mac Book Pro 2016 to warranty due to a faulty space bar key. Everything was working fine until then, the function keys were working properly without encountering any issues.
Today I have picked it up from the warranty, I have tested out the space bar everything was fine. I have arrived home and by default I wanted to adjust the sound volume and "SURPRISE" it was not working. Please note that the keys are working, when I press for e.g. the F11 key the windows are being minimized, showing just the desktop.
I have uncheck and checked back the "Use f1, f2, etc keys...", also tried to run the mac on safe mode but without any luck.(BTW I am using Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6)
I have reinstalled the OS from scratch but the issue is still present. Even if I try to use the fn key. I have tested all keys are everyone of them are working. Also I have picked up a software named Karabin which has automatically bind the key as they should but I don't want to use third party software when the mac's default keys should be working.
I am not 100% sure but I think this is a software issue not being really a hardware issue.
Do any of you guys encountering this thing? Should I go back and return it to the warranty guys?
Thank you for taking your time reading this!
