I bought a 1080ti FTW3 recently and I have been having problems with it causing my PC to lockup hard in game even at low temperatures. I am running a 3770k at 3.9GHz and 5 times now in Dota 2 it has suddenly revved up to 100% fan RPM with my screens going black forcing me to hard shut down my PC. This is only at temperatures of around 50-55C. However I have yet to have it shut down whilst playing games like Assassins Creed syndicate where it runs at 60-70C so it seems to not be a temperature problem. The only time it crashed in Assassins creed was when I clicked closed to desktop when it suddenly revved up like before and I had to restart. This crash has happened once before when I was installing it and I by mistakenly touched one of its power cables slightly.
I think it is a power problem but I am running it off two separate PCie 6+2 power cables from a Corsair ax 1200 gold power supply which I would have thought would provide ample power. Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is doing my head in and I would not want to RMA my card only for the issue to persist due to power problems.
