I was looking into how to overclock my cpu and gpu for better gaming because i've been lagging on games recently and, to my surprise I saw my memory was at a 80 percent and my pc was working really hard, and then I saw I had 4 gb usable even though I have a 65 bit pc. I have maximum memory unchecked .

This is my pc ^

I went on the gateway website and checked out my computer and the bios only go up to 2010 (I have the 2010 bios)

Solution
The simplest answer is you have a bad memory slot on your motherboard.
What does your "installed ram" say under properties on your computer?
What shows on your bios splash screen during post?
If you go in to your BIOS how much does it say you have installed?

Is your ram on your motherboards supported modules list?

Alternative explanation. Your onboard video has reserved 4gb of ram. Again in bios check what the setting there is.

Here are some handy tricks for the other odd things which might be causing it.
