HELP PLEASE! I have an r9 380 2g version, no signal on the monitor

it does not work at all anymore.

As I press the power button, the graphics card starts to turn the fans and the light is on, but the screen is black.

The power supply is more than 600w and the motherboard is MSi x58 platinum and 16gb of ddr4 rams

Please do know that I do not know much about hardware in general, my friend set it up for me, and it worked perfectly. I did not touch it nor anything and it suddenly stopped working normally...HELP PLEASE!

As a starting point check the display cable isn't loose, check if the graphics card is seated properly (will involve opening the case) and whether the power cable to the graphics card needs reconnecting. Also check to see if display is turned out and hasn't been accidentally turned off.

Following that, things may become more technical but those are the simple things to look at first.

I have tried other pci slots, it is not loose, the power cable is inside of it. the monitor is on. Everything looks ok.
Still does not work

For me, the next thing to check would be if the graphics card still works. Unfortunately it does mean trying it on another working PC.

Clearing CMOS on the motherboard is an option to reset the BIOS to default settings, but it does depend on what the cause of the issue is.
