Honestly, both are pretty big. Normally people prefer OS to be on the smaller drive. Like for me I have a gaming rig that has a 120 gb ssd, 2 tb hdd, and a 1 tb hdd. OS on mine is the ssd because ssd size is smaller than either of my hdd drives and has faster boot time than both hdd's. So in your case, I would just install it on the 1 tb drive and go from there. It really is up to you.

Not sure if you're referring to standard HDD, HDD/SSD Hybrid, SSD, or M.2. Naturally you'd want to put the OS in your fastest largest capacity storage so I'd say the 2TB if it's faster than the 1TB.

Ya, he never specified which one is faster, so I just assumed both were same speed. There hdd's so not really know for speed compared to ssd or m.2 drives.
