Hello guys. My current system is slowly dying, so i decided to upgrade it a little for a one more year of usage.
I want to get a new GPU and HDD.
Well, about HDD there is no problem: ill just buy any sata 7.2 rpm.
But im not really shure about graphics card. Best option so far to me, imo, is gtx 1030. But, it requires pci-e 3.0 version and seems like my motherboard "Gigabyte m68m-s2p" has only 1 pci-e 16 v.2.x.
Please help me out with compatiability and preferable models of GPU`s.
Thanks in advance
My current config:
AMD Phenom™ II X4 925(4cores-4threads) 2.8ghz
Gigabyte M68M-S2P
2x2GB ddr2(dual-channel)
PowerMaster 400w

Thanks both for replies.

Well there is several reasons:
1) The price difference between the cheapest 1030(/w air cooling) and cheapest 1050 is 2,900.00 RUB = 50.51usd. I will alson need a vga to hdmi adapter anyway, to use my monitor. So the overall price of cheapest 1030 + adapter is 102 usd.
2) The ram is only 4gb of ddr2, it is obviously not enough for 1050
3) The power supply is about 7 years old. Im afraid i cant rely on it with 75 watt videocard
