Hello, I bought a PC Gamer last week, a i7 1070 from ASUS Republic of gamers. It was awesome and the temperature was normal, but tonight my pc got to 88°c. I tried stopping it for about an hour, but then i re-opened my pc and it became hot again, even when i'm only using facebook. I tried closing all background apps but it didn't changed anything at all! Normally I can play games for hours and keep it at 55-60 °c. Please help! Thanks

Why are your important files not backed up? What if your drive fails or becomes corrupted?

Is this cpu temperature you are measuring? What is the full pc spec, assuming cpu I would check the cooler is still full locked in place. If its got an AIO cooler are you sure the pump is still working?

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 1070 and the 7th gereration Intel Core, wiith 2.4 GH and 32gb of Ram. My pc is a Republic of Gamers from ASUS and i bought it 3500$CA. I just tested it again now, I just opened my pc and it went directly to 70c and climbed again to 88c!
And about backing up I can't because my usb key do not have enought storage capacity and even if i'd do it my graphic card would have time to get cooked..

You have to send it back to ASUS. Any fix we suggest will most likely void your warranty, something is wrong with the cooling setup.

As for not having a data backup this is the risk you take, there are many ways your data could be lost with no warning even on a brand new pc.

How could I had time to backup since I bought it 1 week ago? Well, I'll probably go to the place I bought the laptop, and they will give me another one, thanks^^
