Have new ASUS Z270-AR mobo with i7 7700K KL4.5MHz, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz, CPU graphics with Win10 PRO 64, 750W PSU
Installed this OK using Ai suite 3 to install drivers. System running OK and ran test application no problem under Win10
Noticed that Ai 3 had not installed the USB 3.0 charger function, so installed this on its own,
But when Win10 rebooted FOUND I HAD NO USB KBRD OR MOUSE POWER and this was permanent.
Win10 came up on screen waiting for input, but cant input!!
After a while error message "Dipawaymode The remote procedure call failed" Rebooting does not help as this UISuite 3 USB handler is installed in the start up for Win10 and without any input cant remove it or use a restore point...my img rescue disk is corrupted and wont boot either.!
ASUS tech help is no use, hopeless, just told me to make sure the power plug was in properly, then the second time to contact my reseller!!!!
The h/ware is OK, you get mse and kbrd on boot up to BIOS with F2 and the kbd pwer led only goes off and stays off when Win10 boots up.
(My ASUS P8Z77VPRO system Ai Suite 2 had exact same problem when I first built it, but only about 10% of times and would usually boot up OK on 2nd or 3rd try, now working fine for last 4 years)
So this is an ongoing issue with Asus Suite 2/3 packages and can be fatal with the Z270-AR mobo
My dealer says they had an identical problem not long ago with the same model MOBO and had to re format the drive and re install Win10 to overcome it.
Now one solution would be to plug in a PS2 keyboard and mouse to bypass the USB BUT ASUS mobo 's have a special dual connector for that and the adapter plug for it appears to be non existent. I still have PS2 kbrds and mice on my other older systems
Does any one know how to get around this? Does anyone know how I can get a plug to fit the ASUS PS2? Or a pin out of the connections so I can make up an adapter plug myself ?
The test Win10 Pro 64 on near full 2TB hard disk was taken from a P8Z77Vpro based machine to test the new PC with and of course that is not going to work on the original PC now (The P8Z77 has the same specialty combined PS2 socket and I have to use USB devices due to the unavailability of this connector ).
So i am now TWO computers down and theirs around $4000 of hardware sitting doing nothing
over the two machines (I am using Win7 on another pc to submit this)
Ive been tasked with converting about 150 VHS tapes to DVD, Blue Ray for family records and needed the extra PCs to increase the workflow, otherwise only 2 tapes a day practical and time is running out.
HEEEELLPPP !!!
