Hi,
I just bought a Intel NVMe 128gb ssd and when i opened it up it didn't come with the kit for mounting the intel ssd.
Do i need the kit, because normally m.2 ssd are flat.
Thanks,
salm2s
They are flat, but since most motherboards are oriented vertical rather than horizontal, you need the screw. Your motherboard should have come with the screw not the M.2 disk.

The motherboard is an Asrock Z270 motherboard. It does come with 3 m.2 screws, but it doesn't come with the intel standoffs
That particular motherboard uses a standoff screwed into different permanent threaded holes. Not all motherboards are like that. Mine had a single mount that you had to move between holes if you had a different length SSD. The "standard" length is the 2280 length. You should read the section of your motherboard manual for the proper steps.
The standoff shown is not an Intel (or Samsung or Toshiba) kit. It is motherboard specific. Read your motherboard manual.
