Hi guys i was looking for a gaming build for my pc. I came across a combo offer in the used market for an i3 6100, gigabyte z170m, 8gb ram and Circle 500W PSU for 10000rupees (about 160$). But i have to buy as a combo or I'll have to pay more.

On searching about the PSU, i get that it is an Indian brand and not upto the quality of international one's. But even if it delivers around 400W, its fine for me the time being. All i am concerned of is the safety. Can someone help me out by assesing its quality?

You can't just throw electronics in the garbage. Well, you can, but it's better to recycle them properly.

I would be shocked if the PSU was anywhere close to average quality. The only Circle I've ever seen opened had some of the junkiest Su'scon capacitors imaginable. You never see these bottom-tier PSUs even reviewed anymore (unless JonnyGuru does a Gutless Wonder roundup)...
You really should get a quality PSU. There are a lot of cheap PSUs and when they malfunction they can damage your components and even start a fire. I would spend a little extra money and get a PSU from Corsiar, EVGA, or seasonic. Most of the time, bundle deals with PSUs are terrible PSUs.

Don't get the Circle PSU

Bottom-of-the-barrel power supplies are less safe, by definition. I would only buy this combo if it's still worth it for the 6100/z170m/8GB as I'd value the Circle PSU at zero (slightly less than zero, actually, since I'd have to make the effort to recycle it).

Not sure about the quality. My suggestions:

The point is that, buying another PSU would be putting too much weight on my budget. Like @DSzymborski said, even if i ignore the PSU, the deal is still value for the money...(btw, what did you mean by recycling it?) My only concern being it's safety. Do anyone have any such eperience with this brand? It doesn't seem below an average quality afterall

I don't think you are going to find many people with experience with a Circle PSU. The cheapest PSU I would buy in your location is something from the Corsair VS lineup. The VS is Corsair's cheapest PSU, but it will be safe. It is also available in India, I just don't know where to look on partpicker for it in India. Here is what it is in the US:

Your system will be fine with the 400 watt VS, I just chose the 500 watt because it was only $1 more here in the US.

Yeah, the Corsair is an uninspiring PSU, but I'd certainly put it in a rig before something like the Circle.
