Z370 compatible with intel 8 core processors?

Is a Z370 motherboards will be compatible with a new (planning for next year) intel 8 core processors for desktops or I will must buy a new (probably a Z390) motherboard if I planning to upgrade from intel 6 core processor to intel 8 core processor?

Nobody knows for sure yet. However, most likely Z370 should be good for another gen of CPUs. Rumors saying after canon lake, they may change the socket.
