Hi,

I have an old latop that I used for testing(probably bad idea). Now it does not boot, it does not give video. I was trying to turn this old laptop into a media PC but it went bad. Currently the motherboard and all its components are in the open I remove the case(it was working fine before).
I add some spacers(or PCB not sure what the real name is) to work as ground and to prevent the motherboard to touch any surface directly.
I try the help option at HP to reload the BIOS, No power guide but nothing works.
Currently when I press the ON button the fan spin but in low power mode I think. The power light turn on but the HD light does not turn on. When I wiggle the cable the connects the motherboard to the HD and then turn on the PC SOMETIMES I hear the fan go in high power mode but still no power. I think the problem might be related to this cable but I am not 100% sure and not sure how to test the cable The HD is working. See a few pictures below. PLEASE help, if I miss a connection, ground or anything please let me know!

Motherboard: HP SPARE PART 665342-001

Solution
Solved this by removing the BIOS battery like a millions time until the BIOS succesfully rebooted. Now when I try to boot Windows I go the recovery options and when trying to boot linus from USB device does not boot.
