I need help with my PSU problem

A few days ago my PSU started making a VERY loud buzzing noise and it essentially busted, all Internals were powered but the monitor would show nothing but black, the OS doesn't load at all, NO USB devices are powered, including my keyboard and mouse, I now want to get a 450W PSU in there but the Cooler Master PSU calculator recommends a 550W PSU, I came here to ask, Is it worth taking the risk?
What will happen if the wattage is too low?

Too low -> can not boot, easily blackscreen, etc.

    Specs , calculators aren't accurate.
  3. GTX 960 4GB - Geforce G1 Gaming
    i5 4460 3.2GHz (Stock Cooler)
    2x120mm Fans on the case
    12GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM
    1TB HDD storage
    H81 Motherboard
  4. yes, 450 is enough, but 550 has the same price as 450 now, get 550 :)
  5. Like I said they over estimate 450w is more than fine for your specs.
  6. Like I said they over estimate 450w is more than fine for your specs. Even this SEASONIC 430W is plenty of power.
