Hi, everyone
I've been facing a trouble from last 3 days, that I mentioned above. My computer hangs after running about 30 to 50mins then get stuck in the middle and a blue screen of death appears and sometimes it doesn't. Earlier I thought This might have been a faulty Windows, I installed fresh one but problem still exists. I've tried few tips given by my computer hardware engineer friend which are.
1) I had 2 different kinds of RAM stick one is from Kingston 2gb and another one is from Simtronics 4gb. (this one was actually belongs to my friend). I removed this 4gb now running only 2gb. as he told me use only one or same RAM pair.
2) He suggested to swap SATA cable.
3) I had run a chkdsk test as well.
So these are the things I had tried. I want to know what causes this and how can it be resolved. Is it because of my HDD? Because it makes a noise but it's been making noise from the day I purchased. Another thing to be noted is my PSU it makes whining noise.

My pc config :- INTEL G-3240+Gigbyte H81ms+1tb WD green HDD+ 2gb kingston RAM. My is only 2 years old. It's just for basic use.

Solution
make sure the mb has newest bios file to help rule out any bios bugs, use hardware info set it to sensor and logging see if your power supply not holding. in the windows error reporting post up the error codes.

It could be a thermal issue. Is your CPU fan working?

I would also advise getting a new hard drive or SSD. If the noise being made is anything different from the normal sounds a HDD makes then it may be defective.

Also, purchase a new set of RAM with at least 4GB. 2GB is too little and will most likely slow down anything you do (especially internet browsing).

Thanks for the reply.
Fan is working fine. I've used 4gb RAM as well. earlier i was using 6gb but a friend suggested not to use 2 RAMs from different manufacturers, might be a problem then I removed one and checked both. and the problem persists.
