Slow Wifi with ethernet

So i have a devolo 500 and broadband speeds up to 300mbps but when i do the speedtest i get around 50! on my phone i get triple that. i have the devolo cockpit and it says i should be getting 250mbps through it. i dont know what to do ive changed the ethernet cables and no fix. any help would be really helpful.
