My Build:

Hello Guys,

I am an average high schooler in need of a good budget gaming/work pc. I prefer not to exceed $900 but will if it is a really good deal. I need overall help with my build. I will quite always game at 1080p with as high as settings as my GPU will take my while keeping 50+ fps. From my friends and the internet have become fond of the AMD Ryzen, since I'm neither an Intel nor an AMD fan. I will most likely OC my r5 1600 (depending on the silicon lottery, I'm still optimistic) to around 3.9-4.0 GHz, Maybe OC my GPU and RAM if I feel the need to. I am wondering if there are any issues that I might have in the future. I will probably slightly change some depending on what go on sale this Black Friday/ Cyber Monday, but I won't change it too much like maybe if I get a 1050ti / 1060 for cheap or better storage. Also, I didn't Include a fan in the build because the R5 1600 comes with their own fan, and I included 4 Rosewill Fan because they're free (Mail in rebate). Lastly, I will probably be using a free version of windows so I do not need to include it.

Thanks In Advance for your help

If I were you, I would go with the AMD build and not an Intel build because it would be easier to upgrade the AMD build in the future because the AM4 socket will be supported for a while in the future while the intel replaces their sockets very often.
The 1600 is a fine cpu, but if I were in your position, I would try and build a cheaper build. The PC I use for high school/gaming is not too impresive, older i5 and a 750 ti but it works well for what I need.
For a graphics card I would either look for a 1050 ti on sale, if you can get one for less than 130 it would be a really good deal. Otherwise, I would look for an RX 570, they should normally be around 170 and they're much stronger than the 1050 ti, they're not much weaker than the...
look at micro center stores for there cpu and mb combo. if i was going to build a gaming system under 900.00 i would hold off and look at a locked intel 6 core i5 and a b370/390 mb. there are some things i would not go cheap on. i look at seasonic 620/750 power supply. i would go with the larger unit. if you add at a later time a higher end gpu you wont have to replace your power supply. also going with a known good unit keep your rig stable under gaming loads. i have and older 120g ssd and would never use a standard hard drive now as the main boot drive. ssd and the newer m2 and there replacement now are not much more money for a lot of speed. it easy to add a data drive later on or reuse old hard drive from older build as a data drive. be care full of newer hard drives...most of the vendors now have gone back to 5400 rpm as standard speed not the 7200 faster speed. amd build the mb a4 going to be around for a few years. intel now every time a new cpu drops you have to buy a new mb to use it.
