Windows 7 Pro

It's tougher to log into Tom's Hardware so I lost some of my info.

My sister passed away recently and I inherited her old computer. I can get it to start and open to her user name. However: I do not have a password beyond that. I've tried ADMIN and ADMINISTRATOR. My research online tells me that this model/make may have a password that works for it/most? However; I do believe that it will be easier for me to log in using the Boot Log In? I've got about 20+ hours into this and I can get into the HP System (?) Utility, but I don't have the knowledge to get it to change the boot order?

PLEASE I just need one patient person to give me step by step directions that will follow up with any questions/problems/issues that I may have?

Your help will be greatly appreciated and never forgotten!

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. However, no version of win7 pro has a 'master password' regardless of manufacturer, you might find manufacturers have pre-set bios passwords.

Unfortnately we are unable to assist in bypassing passwords. The reasoning is sad, simple and two fold, firstly we have no idea that your story is true and that you have legal ownership of the laptop (if you think about it and had come across a 'bargain' that was perhaps stolen, this might be the very way that you would convince us to help you.) The other reason is that it's not possible in general terms, i'm sure there are illegal means of getting around it, but again thinking about it, if it were that easy to get past by us saying do x, y and z then it would be pointless having a password.

Since your posting history shows that you frequenty have password and log in problems on various platforms so I am going to close this thread and prevent you coming back here to learn how to overarch passwords.

Whatever it is you do to acquire all these phones and computers, it's probably illegal so stop doing it.
