Hi

I have a 128GB SSD i want to keep my OS, Important programs and games installed on it but now its full and there are heaps of standard programs i want to transfer to my HDD

is there a correct way i can do this so the programs and files all still work from the HDD, without having to uninstall everything and reinstall it again?

Please and thanks, Jarryd

Solution
Correct way would be getting a bigger SSD and cloning from small to big SSD.
Less favorable, but also valid option would be cloning everything from SSD to HDD. You'll gain space but will loose all benefits of SSD.

Another option - this one is rather tricky. You can relocate contents of some folder on SSD to HDD (using NTFS links). For example if you had games installed in C:\GAMES , you could:
  • create a partition on HDD;
    move all files from C:\GAMES to this new partition, so that C:\GAMES becomes completely empty;
    create NTFS link from C:\GAMES folder to this new partition.
Now whenever you launch a game from C:\GAMES it will be actually launched from HDD instead of SSD.
