Hello,

My PC suddenly got off then I start again it starts everything looks normal like cpu fan start and all led normally on and working but there is no display.
Then I clean everything from inside and did some damage to my PCI slot while detaching the graphic card I forgot to unlock it from the bottom then I pull it and PCI slot up little bit now it's underneath pins are showing but after that I got display and suddenly after bios screen display goes again.
Then I saw where the last ram slot there is a cpu led dram led and some other two but cpu and dram led blink one by one.
Then I tried to reset CMOS by detaching battery and ram for some time then start pc without them then off system for sometime the put them on board start again but no luck no display all are same everything seems fine but no display and cpu & dram led blink one by one.

So pls help me to find out what should I do to know the problem? Ram seems fine to me i put it on another pc and its working there.

Also I want to know that the PCI slot where I put the graphic card is top one which is grey in colour and the bottom two are black so if I somehow damage my PCI slot which is top one grey in colour then if I put my graphic card on bottom two PCI slots black in colour will it work?

Thanks

My pc hardware is

Asus z170 pro gaming
Intel i5 6600
8gb Kingston hyperx
Antec 650 psu

Solution
Motherboard is working fine the culprit is reset connector i removed all cabinet connector then i run pc everything working fine after that i connect every cabinet connector one by one power, LED HD etc but when i put reset connector then again no display i think reset button circuit could be short i have corsair spec 01 cabinet. Yes, you did damage the 1st pcie slot.

Do you try boot the PC with onboard intel iGPU? If the PC can boot, the 2nd or the 3rd pcie slot maybe fine.

If the cpu/MB are fine, without RAM and boot device, the PC still can boot, but you will get no RAM no boot device errors, also you will get display too with onboard iGPU. If like you said, you did not get display when you boot the PC without RAM/boot device, and I will say the MB is gone, you need the new MB.
