Hello, didnt know where to put this thread so sorry if this is not correct.

I planning to upgrade from my old gtx 770 to MSI GTX 1080

And i want 2K 144Hz 27" monitor for gaming. So i want some recommendations which monitor around 300-500eur, if is worth buy with G-sync.

Atm. i have IPS 1920x1080 60Hz ASUS VS239HR 23
Do you guys think is it worth going from IPS to 2k TN 144Hz+ and 27" ?

and i want to ask if GTX 1080 is not overkill or GTX 1070 is enoght ?
My spects I5-3570k OCd 4,2Ghz, PSU enermax triathlor 550w it wont bottleneck right ?

Sorry for my poor English
Thanks

If by 2k you mean 1440p, then a 1080 is not overkill.
I think g-sync is very nice. However it does add around $200 to the price. If that is worth it to you, is up to you.

If you want g-sync, 1440p and 144hz then your budget won't be enough.
The closest might be the Dell Gaming S2716DG.

I went from an IPS 22" to a higher end gaming 144hz TN screen, the image quality on the cheaper IPS monitor was better to me. The TN screen looked washed out after the swap and I am still not used to the colors. The smoothness of the 144hz (I run it at 120hz for WOW) is noticiable but I wish I just went for a higher quality IPS screen instead.
