New build. There is NO response when power is supplied.
Ryzen 5 1500 + Gigabyte AB-350-gaming + 2x8 gb Corsair Vengence LPX 3200. N.B. no video board. Power supply tested and good.
I tried the mobo/processor without a case. Same result. This is the second mobo I tried with the same result. This is not the first build I've made. I even had a 'professional tech' look over the system. He found no problem.
Gigabyte support said check the installation of the processor: sometimes the processor is not tight in the socket. If that's not true then return for a replacement. I did so. Installing the processor I was very careful to see that it was properly socketed and locked.
I'm willing to believe that I'm an idiot, but I'm not prepared to believe that two boards in succession
are bad.
