So I have a 240gb ssd for boot and 1tb hd for storage. Well my hd is full so I bought another 1tb hd and wanna add it to my pc. Is there a way to make 2 hds act as one. I read about creating a spanned file but I don’t wanna format my hd are have to redownlod everything. Any advice is appreciated.

Not for several years.

You can have them on many drives, many folders.

Like this:
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder

I used to have games on 3 different drives.

To move an already installed game
Games library
Right click the game
Properties
Local Files
Move Install Folder

Just add it.
It will be seen as just another drive letter.

You can use it as you wish.
Maybe move some Steam games over to it.

I would not try to "stitch" the two drives together. It's just asking for issues. Mount the drive into the case, plug in your power and data cables, and format it in windows. Move things around as you like or just start downloading/installing things to the new drive.
