Will Intel completely run out of i5 8400? And will there be bugs because new model?

On my adventure to build an i5 8400 machine, it keeps getting worse...

I was lucky to find an i5 8400 in Thailand, only 12 for the whole country....

Now Newegg, just ran out of i5 8400...should I go ahead and buy mine without any motherboards for it ( I need mini or micro ATX)?

Will the Newegg run out of i5 8400 for weeks/months like in Thailand?

Additionally, I heard Ryzens had bugs on new models, is it the same with Intel? I mean, they can't make enough of them, are they hurrying the job and might result in lemons?

Solution
Cheap motherboards are likely not going to be available until next quarter when the new chipsets are released. The current models are more aimed at enthusiasts and gamers rather than the budget conscious.

On the other side of things, bugs are less likely than with AMD because neither the chipset or the CPU are new designs, just evolutions of existing ones.
Newegg has been out of stock since release other than the few seconds when they restock. They've restocked every week so far I believe. You should be able to find mobos, or at least change your case. There are no known bugs. They can't make them faster so lemons is not a concern. The reason they are out of stock vs past releases is they typically hold a larger supply before letting them be sold plus the value is higher with the increase in core count.

Came out on October 5th right?

Now no stock on both Amazon, Newegg, and nothing in Thailand or possibly Asia...

If this thing is sealed, I guess I can sell it back, maybe even at a profit? I'm paying $204 for it, I just don't want to sit on a useless CPU for months...

All I need now is a Mini or micro ATX motherboard for this, $120 is fine, but $300 isn't ...!

If I can't get a MOBO for it, can I email MOBO manufacturers directly and order from them?

With AMD however, they have had their stuff or since earlier this year. I think there are still a few small things, but from what I've seen in reviews etc, it sounds like most of the big issues have been sorted out. They seem to be working pretty fast fixing things as well.

In fact I think they just announced that they will have new AMD boards and newer version Ryzen CPUs starting to come out in February.
