Wired Connection cuts off randomly? Had ISP here 6+ times, "no issue on their end"

I'm going insane here. I purchased the gigabit package from comcast when moving into my new apartment. After installation (2 months ago) I've had seemingly random moments of no connection.
I had two different technicians check the wiring inside, they said it was great.
I had one that completely rewired the outside wiring and removed a splitter between us and those below, and he said the wiring outside was now good.
I've tried another Ethernet cable, to no avail. I even made sure that I had a gigabit ethernet port and that the modem was receiving the gigabit speeds, which it is.
I had an online rep tell me that the downstream/upstream information he sees on his side of things for my connection is "fantastic" and that the issue doesn't seem to be with wiring.
Well, if that's the case, I have no idea what they want me to do. I can't seem to resolve this issue and it's making me go crazy.
The modem/router is an ARRIS TG3482G "xb6"
I also have done virus scans to make sure nothing weird is going on there, too.
What else can I do? I just want stable internet...

My roommates, who only use wifi, don't use the internet often, but when I ask them they say it's "fine"
One said that the internet was slow before using a wifi signal booster he had, but after that he hasn't had any slow speeds and never seemed to have cutoff issues, whereas I (with the wired connection) have.
I was hoping I could use some tool to monitor my internet downstream or something while I'm in games. It's a reoccurring issue in any game that I play where the game will basically freeze for a few seconds, as if I didn't have any internet connection at all (that or monumentally low speeds?). Some even kick me out saying I don't have a connection and tell me to retry later. I can't tell when it happens, it's seemingly random, but it's frequent.

How would I do the google server test?
I can't tell if the boom/firmware on the modem is the newest one by comcast, I can't seem to find any place comcast posts what the firmware/boot should be at.
Is there anything else I should try before I end up doing this bridge thing?

Keep a log of exactly when this is happening. A pattern may appear.
And you have to contact them when it is actually 'out'.

Years ago, I had a long running issue with Cox cable.
Same sort of thing....ethernet would die 3-4-5 times a week, generally at night.

Multiple techs came out, literally everything from the box on the corner to my PC and screen was replaced. All the wiring, connectors, modem, etc, etc...
It got so where I could predict the outage to within about 15 minutes.

Eventually, it turned out to be an upstream box, dying due to temperature and humidity. Change that, and it came back online.

I did a tracert run in CMD.
I had a spike of 900ms.
Can I post it or is there info in there that shouldn't be shown? Would it be of any use to post?

Interesting. Well I'll try and keep a log. Like I said below I did a tracert literally right as a spike happened, I had a couple *'s come up and a few 800ms spikes. Not sure if that helps though.

Hm, I guess I'll try and test this. Would the open/public DNS response by Smorizio? The link he gave looked like it'd take some meticulous reading and some careful work to set up, so I was going to save that as my final step if nothing else works.
OH! Actually, you may have just reminded me. One time, me and my roommate were playing a game. I was wired in, and he was using a wifi adapter. I got disconnected from the game and he was perfectly fine. He hasn't had any disconnecting issues! I totally forgot about that!

If other people, going through that same router, are still connected...it is either your PC or the Cat5e cable.
