So as you are aware in windows 7 and 10 you can join a homegroup and then in the network tab you can connect to other computers that have shared folders/drives with the homegroup.
I have a lot of computers running windows 10 at my house and one is a dedicated plex server 8tb storage on a amd kabini build.
my main rig is a ryzen 7 1800x build I just made and this thing is a beast, but I'm having trouble accessing the files on the server pc. from this computer I can access files from my dell poweredge 2950 server, my old amd 8350 build with win 10, my surface pro 3, my old dell inspiron n5010 (win 7), my brothers dell xps win 10, but I cant get files from the server pc where I backup all my movies and music and files etc...
is there something that I might have disabled on the server pc that is not letting me access it from my ryzen 7 build? also as a note it lets me access it randomly about 10% of the time I try to. the other 90% it dosent even show up. shows up under media devices but not under computers
