Hi everyone,

The new coffee lake has finally been released and props to Intel for stepping up their game.

Anyways, I originally was going to buy the i5 7600k but since CL came out i thought ill get that. I then found the i3 8350k and checked the specs...which were amazing. But i never had experience with i3's.
So i was wondering should i purchase the i3 8350k or i5 7600k.

I am willing to save up for the i5 8600k. (please give me opinions on the 2 above first)

Thank you!

The i3 8350K and i5 7600K are almost identical. The i5 7600K is slightly better due to the turbo but since both CPU's can be overclocked it doesn't matter much. Both are 4 core and 4 thread CPU's. I personally would rather opt for a 6 core CPU whether it be the Core i5 8400 or the Core i5 8600K. Either CPU will have better longevity over the quad core parts previously mentioned. Get whichever CPU you can afford best. If you can save up and get the better CPU the 8600K then you probably should do that.

Between the i3 8350k and the 7600k, I'd probably pick the 8350k. The 8350k is clocked SLIGHTLY higher and comes at 30% cheaper than the 7600k, granted you have to buy a Z370 board which is more expensive then Z270.

However the i5 8400 or i5 8600k is significantly better than both of those, and the i5 8400 is considered the best value *CPU* on the market right now (this obviously doesn't include Z370 board price.)

If you're going to overclock, i5 8600k is the way to go. If not, go with an i5 8400. Only if you're on a really tight budget should you go 8350k.
