What Drivers Do I Need?

Hello all,

I have a simple question. I have an entirely new build coming my way. I'd like to know about how many drivers I actually need to download.

On this attached list,
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-X370-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

There are many drivers to download in each category(BIOS, LAN, AUDIO etc) for windows 10 64bit.

My question is, do I need to download every single driver in each respective category?
OR
Do I simply download the most recent driver update per category.

thank you

Solution
as your a new first time builder to help your self out. pick up an 8g usb stick. you have room for windows 10 iso and drivers. use windows media creation tool to make a windows 10 bootable usb stick for yourself. after it done make a folder called drivers. from the mb driver cd copy there driver folder over to the usb stick. dont copy there 3 party tools and adware. when it done rename them sound/ethernet/chipset or mb drivers. look at the data of the drivers in the folders make a quick text file then go to the mb vendor or the chipset vendor and download the newest drivers.

What GPU?
These are the drivers you need for WIN 10. I would not download anything else unless its add on or peripheral
AUDIO
LAN
USB
CHIPSET
SATA
OPTIONAL UTILITES
Always useful, the Manual

on your build there going to be a cd with the drivers needed. these drivers are also listed on the page you posted. the vendor will post old and new drivers for there product. you only need the newest driver that listed on the top. the two main drivers are motherboard chipset driver and the ethernet driver. after widows 10 gets online it can pull the most updated drivers in to itself. the only other driver that you install is the newest video driver for your gpu.

when you get the mb in the last 4 number of the mb serial number is the bios rev. dont do anything unless the bios is a few rev old. rule of thumb for bios only update if fixes bug or updates cpu/ram code. most mb vendors sometime wont let you roll back if you update to xxx bios. when doing a bios update if done wrong can brick the mb. never use windows updater or turn on auto bios updater from inside mb. always use the usb stick download and use the mb bios updater if needed. with new mb there are going to be needed up dates. but with your mb it may have the newest bios on it already.
