Yes I would definitely upgrade your processor and then see how things look/feel. If you don't have an SSD, you will want one of those as well. Once you have upgraded your CPU, if you feel you need to upgrade your GPU, you'll be in a good position to upgrade to pretty much whatever is available since the 7700k is pretty well top end and shouldn't bottleneck any GPU that is currently out.
