Hey guys.... My old mobo died a couple of days ago.... Looking for old school experience to steer me right... I am saving for the bits for a new build, but in the meanwhile I want to have some fun with my old beast.... I'm looking for advice on the best ddr2 am2+/am3 combo mobo.... Surely the best from back in the day must be cheap now..... Brand not important if from big 4..... Overclocking to the max would be great.... Been researching a few days, but would love to hear from someone who knows from experience which board I can squeeze the most out of.... I have a 64 x2 5200+ Windsor chip.... But am thinking of maybe getting an am3 chip to play with later.... If its cheap.... I do not want ga-ma790x-ds4 because of 80c nbridge temps.... Thanks!

Thats an emtremly old and weak cpu. You can for like 60$ usually get a core 2 quad dell system replace the psu and you have a way better psu on your hand that can handle a add in gpu. Or for a bit more you can even got upto first gen i5's. The price for a oc able board from that time is usually around 60$ since they are becoming rarer and not worth the price at all.

Thanks for answering!... Yes, I agree its a crap chip, but is just for fun like I said..... A Russian guy on YouTube recons he got 4.5ghz over clock on this chip but.... Probably fake..... anyway, my question was re mobo advice.... Do you have any advice for am2/am3 board for easy overclock? ..... The am3 ability is for a cheap chip upgrade if I want to waste money having fun for cheap..... I'm assembling stuff for a z370 coffee lake build, but in the meanwhile I need something to muck around with without consequences if I fry everything pushing the limits with it......
