Hello,

The computer was running fine, and suddenly it shuts down, when i tried to turn it on, i noticed a little spark, also a smell of electrical burning, and the computer won't start up after.

If the GPU is inserted and connected to the power, the computer dont power on, but if i disconnect the power cable from the GPU, the computer turns on and the GPU fans spins, but dont display anything.

I tested with a second GPU and everything works fine, so it's not a PSU problem.

Also GPU circuit is damaged from the spark, see picture in the URL below

The GPU is out of warranty

IS there anyway to repair it !!

THanks in advance

Contact Zotac. If you don't have the receipt they may just go off the manufacture date rather than the buy date.

It would also be nice to know the make and model of the PSU, it may have not killed itself but that doesn't mean it won't kill again.

A junk PSU could have very easily destroyed a card and then happily fired up to find its next victim. Need all the information.

As for repairs, I wouldn't be too optimistic here. A 1070 shouldn't be out of warranty yet, though; they only launched in June of 2016 and I believe every manufacturer's warranty on a 1070 is at least two years.
