I have recently completed my first gaming Desktop. As far as RAM, I originally had 8 (2x4 sticks) GB of RAM (EVO POTENZA DDR4) which worked fine. However, whenever I try to add two more RAM sticks of the same make and model, the computer will not boot up. What am I doing wrong?

Solution
Using multiple kits of memory, regardless of make and model, is not recommended and is not guaranteed to work. Adding extra memory can cause the memory to be unable to operate at rated specifications or cause the PC to be unable to boot up. Memory that has never been tested together has no guarantee to work.

Workarounds for getting multiple kits to work:
Lowering memory clock speed
Relaxing DRAM timings
Increasing DRAM voltage
Lowering CPU multiplier

Depends on your motherboard. Find the company's site and the motherboard and usally under support they will have both the newest version bios plus information on updating. Generally you download it and decompress the file. Copy the rom to a USB. Restart boot into bios and insert the USB and look for the bios flash.
