Will my 3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i5-3570K now in an 1150 socket work in a mobo w/ 1155 socket?

I have a 3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i5-3570K in a z77 extreme 4 which has an 1150 socket. I need to buy a new mobo and can only find socket 1155, will my CPU work in an 1155 socket?

If not, any sweet-spot mobo suggestions I'm a bit of a gamer (D3) if that helps.

Thank you, I re-checked things and now see the i6-3570 is an 1155 socket, though I wish it were actually a 1150, as there does not seem to be much sold (motherboard) that uses the 1155 but there are lots that use the 1150.
