Hello,
So I have this older desktop, HP 6305 SFF, for vintage gaming and I want to tune it up a bit.
Specs are:
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU: AMD A8 5500 Quad-Core CPU @ 3.20ghz
Memory: 16GB quad channel RAM (4 x 4GB)
Storage: 500GB Hard Drive
Optical: DVD-R/RW + Lightscribe
Graphics: PNY NVIDIA Geforce 730 2GB DDR3 (1 x HDMI 1 x VGA 1 x DVI)
MOBO: AMD A75
I want to know if it’s possible to add a second GPU, and was eyeing this GPU,
XFX - AMD Radeon RX 550 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card
will this MOBO support adding two GPUs?
I suppose an upgrade of the power supply might be necessary too.
I also want to know if I can oveclock the PC safely.
Thanks

What does acceptable mean to you? Most miners have 5 plus GPU's each of which is 10x your 730, so probably not.
You can't use AMD and Nvidia at the same time, you can't use a 730 with anything else.

The A8 isn't great, it's an APU not a CPU, so jack of all trades, master of none. You might be able to OC it, but it's not going to gain you a lot.

Putting something like a 750ti or a 950ti, or a 1030/1050 would be a very good step, but you will be limited by your A8.

With the right gpu yes you could, it does all of the work. But for that a bigger psu is needed and with an sff machine it's not going to fit. Also it will cost you more to mine than you'll get from selling now.
