Hi guys,

I'm planning on setting up a new gaming rig this last Q'17 but I'm not sure if it's smart to invest right now due to the fluctuating price of the GPU's, specifically ones that are being used for crypto-currency mining.

First question, should I go for it and disregard the price hike of both GPUs and RAMs or wait for next year?

Second, my budget for the rig should be about $2,000 or less, would that be enough for me to get the i7 7th gen(or I can wait for the coffee lake) and an awesome GPU? If it is, can you link me a pcpartpicker list of these items?

This rig will be mainly for games and web works.

Thanks a bunch guys.

The ryzen refresh will come by Feb or March with 400 series chipset. The 8 core cpu from Intel on z390 would also be releasing soon. U can decide between AMD and Intel again.
Gpu wise, Volta is set for a q1 2018 release. But the prices of 21:9 g sync will remain the same, which is a bit on the higher side.
So yes,if you can waiting can be worth it.
2000 is more than enough for coffee lake I7 plus 1080ti build. For example, add an SSD in the future:

If you can wait till Feb of 2018, the ryzen refresh will be available.

Yeah sorry, I don't need peripherals and OS.

Just the tower itself, although a monitor would be a nice add-on. I love the 34 inch monitor due to the fact that productivity-wise? It would be best, especially since I'm working mainly on Excel. I saw the YouTube review on that monitor and it was the bomb.

My games though would be more 1080p's, mATX is good, but I'm open to itx as well. I'm planning on putting up LEDS to go with my desk too so a clear panel on the tower would be preferable.

I would love to get my hands on the 1080TI, however, I like the looks on the reference card better than the open air one. So maybe we go with Nvidia.

Also, I'm shopping here in PH.
