Hi guys,

I am about to update my motherboard and CPU and was wondering if i could just move the M.2 SSD from my old comupter and just install it onto the new motherboard. It has windows already installed on it. Can I do this? Can I just remove it from one motherboard and move it to the other?

Thanks!

Might it work? Maybe, But probably not.

First off it uses UEFI for hardware verification, that may prevent it from booting. If thats not a problem the fact its new hardware will cause it to run poorly if it even runs.

You really need to just backup your data and reinstall windows.
