After spending hours and hours troubleshooting I finally found the problem that kept making my PC freeze, continue to play sound for 20 seconds then shut down.
This motherboard comes with two PCIe x16's one 3.0 the other a 2.0. So I moved my graphics card to the 2.0 and the PC seems to be running fine.
The only issue I can think of is either the motherboard 3.0 slot is faulty or my mega old PSU is crapping itself and not powering the Gcard properly? The 3.0 slot was working fine for a couple of weeks and then suddenly this issue occurred.
The motherboard is still covered under warranty but if there is a fix that means I dont have to wait weeks for manufacturer to send it back I would appreciate this.
Thanks for your help!
Edit: These are the specifications for the slots
1 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 Slot (PCIE2: x16 mode)
1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 Slot (PCIE3: x4 mode)
