I was on my pc the other day! Everything as it usually is. Next day after that, tried to start the pc ... Nothing happens, not even any lights, no signs at all.
What i have done so far :
1. Checked if there was power to the pc - Yes
2. Checked all cables inside and outside - Yes
3. Pulled out Cmos battery and put it in again - Yes
4. Tried starting pc from the motherboard - Yes, didn't work

Why would a fully functional pc just stop working suddenly without any changes done? Any solutions!?
Note: All components in the pc are new and under 1 year old
I really am getting very nervous and frustrated ..
Since all the components are new and i do not think they have been damaged, i think after reading many many forums and help sources that the cmos battery might be the reason for my pc not starting up or showing any signs of life!.. can that be possible ?

Solution
That's odd. If it's the mobo, the psu fan should have at least started up and you should have heard that. If you need mobo testing, that again is something to take in to get done. You are unlikely to have a spare mobo to swap in without issues.

i5 7500 3.4 GHz 6MB
PSU : be quiet! System Power 8 600W
Mobo : MSI B250M GAMING PRO

My pc is hardly half a year old, why the F would my psu just stop working under 12 hour period while the pc was shut down! I'm suspecting the cmos battery.. any advice ?

Don't think it's the battery either, but it's an easy and cheap thing to check for if that will give the OP some reassurance for at least that part.

Psu in the top or bottom of the case? Might be some protection that kicked in like OTP (Over Temperature Protection).

Sadly, it wasn't the PSU that was failing, so i have to move on and determine that the mobo is failing. This is really hard
