you must buy the proper cables from the manufacturer made specifically for the make and model of power supply

they are not cross compatible

that power supply should have come with all the cables you need

The CM550M comes with two 6+2 PCIE connectors. If you need a replacement, you have to find one that's *specifically* compatible with the model; modular cables aren't standardized on the side that goes into the PSU. This cable would not do the trick

According to https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware/comments/2v42b1/psa_modular_power_supply_cables_are_not_swappable/
We (Corsair) have a lot of interchangeable cables, at least among our newer models, although sadly the HX1000 and AX750's aren't. The Type 3 (generation 2) cables work on all the below:

AXi Series – 1500/1200/860/760 AX Series – 860/760 HX Series – 1050/850/750/650 HXi Series – 1000/850/750 TXM Series – 850/750/650/550 CXM Series – 750/600/500/430 CSM Series – 850/750/650/550/450 RM Series – 1000/850/750/650/550/450
you need Type 3 cable. Which would be: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/type-3-sleeved-black-pci-e-cable
