Hello everyone,

so yeah, sounds stupid, why would someone turn a wireless mouse into a wired one? Well the issue is that my reciever for the wireless mouse died, but the mouse feels very nice, isn't loud etc...

So, is there a way to turn it into a wired one ( I really don't mind the cable too much), also, if I brake something on it, np, it's already half dead without the reciever anyways.

Thanks in advance!

Make and model mouse?

Normally very much a proponent of DIY (Do It Yourself) projects but you may have to forego the plan.

The main reason being that there are probably no places inside the wireless mouse to which you can (or could) make wired connections. Soldered or otherwise. Soldering is likely to destroy other components during the conversion process. Especially in devices that are not made to be repairable.

Even if you could identify (via schematics) or otherwise identify the proper connection points.

My suggestion is to look for replacement receiver. Double check to see if there is still some warranty available on your mouse and receiver.

Google for the receiver - you might find one on ebay for example. Or yard sales...

Really a matter of the trade-offs you are will to make.

Most likely just buying a replacement set will be the most expedient and least costly.
