Hi, so I contacted EVGA about the gap between all the VRAM modules and the heatsink. They sent me the thermal mod kit which consisted of thermal pads. I applied them only to notice there is still a considerable gap. I tried doubling them up, but that causes too much obstruction to get the heatsink to make good contact with the actual GPU chip. I know they say the VRAM is "fine being cooled by the fan." I just don't feel at ease about it. Especially because I like to OC the VRAM. Is there anything I can do?

Well there are no sensors for the VRAM so I don't know what temps they're getting. That's part of why I'm worried. The GPU itself does fine. Doesn't hit 70c after I replaced the thermal paste with some AS5 I had laying around.

Okay, I guess that puts my mind at ease. About the thermal pads, should I leave them on or take them off? I don't see how they can help if there is still a gap. It seems like they would only block the VRAM from being blown by the fan.
