Windows 7 installation and reinstallation dvd

I ordered a windows 7 installation dvd from amazon for 20 $ but i got a dell reinstallation dvd instead thats not the same thing is it ? Whats the diffrence if someone could explain it to me and should i ask for a refund because it doesn't state anywhere that it is a dell reinatallation dvd ...

Dell provides restore disks with their systems, they are not meant for resale. Many people sell them anyway. It's Windows 7, but may be specific to Dell and may try to load Dell drivers on your system. A real Windows 7 license will be about 3 times what you paid. You can try to use it to boot but it may not work.

At some point there were Dell OEM disk links that did work on any system and were basically a base OEM Windows 7 disk, but there is no way to know exactly what your disk contains as far as compatibility and drivers, if any are on it.
