I have been having this problem for months now until I found this website and decided to ask here, The wifi connection always turns to "Limited connection" or maybe even shuts off completely, when closing the lid of my laptop and occasionally hibernating/sleeping, I checked the device manager, mostly it either provides a "code 10 error"/this device does not exist/"code 43 error"/or sometimes just nothing at all, it says the device is working properly, but I have limited connection and cannot detect any other networks for some reason. I tried literally infinite solutions INCLUDING reinstalling drivers and other wild stuff, my laptop is an HP Notebook 15 r202-nx, my adapter is a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn. I should also mention many users had this problem but mostly fixed it by updating/reinstalling drivers, that never worked for me.

specs:
core i3 400-5u 2 cores 4 threads 1.7 Ghz
4GB RAM
HD-4400 Display Adapter
Windows 8.1

My suggestion is to manually configure your laptop's wireless adapter to match the router.

I.e., no "auto" configuration.

On the other hand, if now manual, then fall back on and try "auto".
